Part 4: Powers and roots of complex numbers

Based on writing complext numbers using polar co-ordinates (see Part 3 of these notes) the powers and roots of complex numbers can be calculated relatively easily. IMPORTANT: If you are not familiar with trigonometry do not proceed further yet. These notes refer to proofs which can be found in part 5 of these notes.
