Hello. My name is Mike Montgomery. My teaching experience goes back more than 50 years. As a school student in what is now called Grade 9, I taught mathematics to Grade 11 students as well as to students in my own grade. While a student at the University of the Witwatersrand, I ran mathematics classes for all grades from my home. This was a free service to the community. Throughout my professional career I continued to teach mathematics privately.
Industries. After graduating in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, I have had a successful international career as a mathematician and software developer in the following industries:
- Gold mining and metallurgy.
- Banking, insurance and finance.
- Telecommunications.
After retiring from the corporate world, I have also taught at schools and privately.
International experience. I have taught mathematics and other topics in these countries:

- Malaysia.
- Singapore.
- China.
- Uganda.
Since the start of the COVID19 pandemic I have been teaching on-line to local and international students.
